Hermes Agent: from zero to your first agent
What Hermes Agent does, where it runs, and how to start it in two minutes — no install, no terminal.
Hermes Agent is an open agent by Nous Research. It works with files, runs commands, uses tools and follows schedules. On MultiBrains it comes as a service — nothing to install.
What you need
- An email address.
- About two minutes.
- Nothing else. No terminal, no Docker, no Python.
Step 1: account
Open sign in and register. No card during the beta.
Step 2: agent
In the dashboard click Create agent, pick a name and a size. Standard (2 cores, 4 GB) is enough to start. It boots in half a minute.
Step 3: first task
Be specific. Instead of "help me with marketing", try: "Read competitor pricing at [address] and build a CSV table."
A concrete prompt is half the result: the agent must know what should exist and where it should end up.
Step 4: the result
Find it in the Files tab. Files survive sleep and closing the browser.
When something breaks
- No answer — send the message again; if it slept, it wakes in 3–5 seconds.
- Generic answer — give a sharper goal and output format.
- Start over — open a new thread; the old one stays.
